When OPI began, finance and accounting outsourcing was a forward-looking operational model that large, multi-national companies were trying on for size. It was hardly an established strategy, and it offered little potential upside for companies without significant process volume. OPI’s founders, however, saw promise in FAO. Promise that they felt, with the right model, could be extended to Fortune 500 and middle-market companies alike.

OPI was founded in 2002 through the merger of a big four accounting firm's business process outsourcing (BPO) division and itAccounts, an innovative finance and accounting business process outsourcing company that had an established offshore service center in Bangalore, India. Since, OPI has grown to become a leading global provider of high-end, complex FAO and analytics services.

Even with marketplace success and significant year-over-year growth rates, we have never lost sight of our focus on finance and accounting related processes or our dedication to extending the value of FAO downstream to middle-market companies.
